1. Who we are
59 Seconds ("we", "us") operates the website 59seconds.live, a fast-paced word-description game designed for classrooms and parties. By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. The service
59 Seconds offers themed word packs. Each pack contains several decks of word cards. The first deck of every pack is free to play. The remaining decks in a pack are unlocked by purchasing that pack as a one-time purchase.
3. Accounts
You need an account to purchase packs, so that your unlocked packs stay attached to you. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
4. Purchases and billing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns. Prices are shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) based on your location.
Purchases are one-time payments per pack — no subscription, no recurring charges. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
5. License and acceptable use
A purchased pack grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use its content for your own classroom, group, or private play — including projecting it for an audience such as a class. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape, or republish pack content, or share your account to circumvent purchases.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the service — including word lists, deck curation, artwork, and the game itself — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright. Flag images are served from third-party sources and remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Availability and disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim to keep it running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
